Large, long-established & successful Hedge Fund is looking for a Senior Programmer with strong Java & SQL development skills.  This person will be responsible for handling various live market data & E-trading APIs into their main non-equity trading system.  Support of these APIs should take up only 20% of the person's time, while the rest of the time they will be involved in building a new risk/pricing system for the various trading desks.  This project will afford the candidate significant exposure to a wide range of financial products (Derivatives, Commodities and Fixed Income).  Success on this project will provide endless opportunities for growth within this large and well known hedge fund.

Requirements:

• Very strong Java programming experience.
• Experience working with live market data and e-trading APIs.
• Must have financial services experience, ideally supporting a trading environment.  Experience building analytic and/or risk systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of derivative, fixed income or commodities products is a big plus.
• Must have strong verbal skills.
• College degree in a hard science is a must (preferably CS).  Advanced degrees also considered a positive.
