Real Estate Operations/Compliance analyst Location: Florham Park, NJ BlackRock Real Estate: BlackRock’s Real Estate group manages billions in private real estate debt and equity in the U.S., Europe, Australia and Asia. Real estate investments span a wide range of strategies, including core, value-add and opportunistic equity and high-yield debt for a premier list of institutional and private investors.
Job Summary: The position will report directly to a Director in the Real Estate Operations group and be responsible for contributing to the overall functionality of the group. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Preparing monthly and annual revenue projections for global real estate operations. Monitor and report on compliance with fund requirements for individual transactions and on a quarterly basis. Preparing monthly status updates for the global real estate group. Assist in evaluating and resolving technical accounting matters for real estate funds. Function as an administrator for fund bank accounts. Coordinate and take the lead role in various projects and proactively manage and contribute to the administration of assigned special projects. Build strong relationships and serve as a liaison with management and staff within all areas of Realty and various corporate functions (Finance, Portfolio Accounting, Tax, IT, Internal Audit, Legal, International offices, etc.). Qualifications/Skills: The ideal candidate should have: 4 year college degree in Accounting or finance required. 3-4 years of solid work experience in the finance or accounting field (real estate and/or public accounting background is preferred). Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently. A high degree of professionalism, sound judgment and discretion when in contact with management and outside organizations.
