MANAGER RESEARCH ANALYST – SUSTAINABLE INVESTMENTS The Manager Research Team aims at helping drive client’s decision making and it is a fundamental part of the Investment’s team. The sustainable investments team works with clients to deliver advice and education in sustainable investment. The team has made significant impact on investment choices in the UK market. The main purpose of the role is to provide advice internally and externally on sustainable investment issues and fund manager selection. The successful applicant will work together with other team members, with some of the company’s largest and most complex clients. Responsibilities will include: • Meeting fund managers to evaluate investment products and processes. • Leading both internal and external research meetings, driving discussions and formulating views on specific managers. • Building relationships with managers, maintaining the research database and acting as a point of contact to provide information about the managers to members of the global investment practice. • Contributing to the development of the research function, improving methods and tools used. • Contribute to servicing clients primarily through the writing of papers, presentations on specialist topics & managers and assisting consultants in other areas of relevant client work. • Extracting and interpreting both quantitative and qualitative data to help drive decision making What we are looking for: - Thorough understanding of the institutional investment industry and investment processes, ideally through direct experience in fund management.
- Significant exposure to, and genuine interest in, Sustainable Investment (preferably within the UK, with additional European experience also being of interest), gained in an investment environment.
- Experience of qualitative data collection and assimilation, and its use in opinion forming and the provision of advice.
- Comprehensive appreciation of all compliance issues and risk controls.
