An amazing opportunity is available at a Private Equity Company in Central London. This is a contract role that may go permanent for the right person.
You will be producing the statutory accounts (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow) under UK GAAP and FSA regulatory returns for the entity. Fund accounting will be completed for the funds along with reconciliations, investor reporting and production of the accounts under US GAAP. Also you will prepare for year end Audit and assist with Audit process, Tax returns and undertake tasks in relation to governance and compliance.
Production of budgets will be needed as will forecasting, cash flows and tax planning. You will prepare and analyse the management accounts on a monthly basis. There will be analysis of fees, expenses/costs and revenue required. Annual capital structure reviews will be conducted looking at deal financing. Valuation of Assets and Funds will be required and you will be required to manage staff at times.
You will be a qualified accountant (preferably a Big 4 qualified CA/ACA). Ideally you will have exposure to the Private Equity sector and if not you will need some exposure in Asset Management or Hedge Funds. Experience with Property/Real Estate could be desirable.
Strong technical accounting skills are required particularly in regards to UK GAAP (US GAAP would be beneficial), FSA returns, Financial Control and Management Accounting and analysis. The successful person will have integrity, be 'down to earth' and good with people. You must be a self-starter and capable to pick up tasks and drive them to completion quickly.
