The D. E. Shaw group's Finance and Operations department seeks smart entry-level Finance & Operation associates to work with our proprietary trading desks and Accounting, Operations, Tax, and Treasury groups. Responsibilities include account analysis, capital allocation and optimization, management reporting, money movement, front-vs.-back office reconciliations, investigation of breaks/issues, and special projects.

The ideal candidates will be motivated, organized individuals with strong communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and quantitative skills, a rigorous work ethic, and a genuine interest in finance. A degree in accounting, business, finance, economics, engineering or related field is a prerequisite. Candidates should have proven their ability in both academic and professional environments.
