Working for a leading European Investment Bank, we are now actively seeking to recruit an experienced counterparty credit analyst to join this busy and dynamic team.
The Trading Credit Risk Management team (TCRM) isare responsible for approving and monitoring
The responsibilities of the credit analyst within TCRM will include:
· Analysing counterparty risk, issuer risk and settlement risk in respect of equities and equity derivatives transactions; · Performing credit analysis and providing rating recommendations on underlying issuer exposures; · Counterparties to be analysed will include (but not be limited to): corporates, iInvestment and Commercial Banks, Ffund managers, hedge Funds, brokerage houses, insurance companies and Corporate Operating and Holding companies. . · Reporting on top issuer exposures and convertible bond positions; · Performing due diligence on underlying hedge mutual funds, hedge fund and asset managers/hedge fund managers for equity products; · Monitoring and assessing the impact on the credit risk profile of counterparties of any changes that are taking place in the European and International financial markets; ·Counterparties to be analysed will include (but not be limited to): Investment and Commercial Banks, Fund Managers, Hedge Funds, Brokerage Houses, Insurance Companies and Corporate Operating and Holding companies. · Communicating and working with a wide range of groups and individuals, including: Group Risk Management, Equities and Equityies Derivatives Traders and Sales, Compliance and Legal personnel, as well as external Counterparties. · Reviewing the Bank's exposures and making recommendations in instances where counterparties exceed their assessed risk profiles; · Project management in respect of internal process improvements and migrations.
· Strong and relevant credit analysis experience of corporates, financial institutions, mutual funds, hedge funds and corporates; · Experience in equity repo/reverse repo, stock borrowing, equity swap product and OTC transaction risks, or as a minimum possesses a good knowledge of derivative risks and the credit mitigates that can be built into the transaction structure; · Ability to balance risk/reward in assessing transaction risks; · Knowledge of GMSLA and ISDA documentation protections and credit protections that can be incorporated;
Soft skills:
· Strong team player with good interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a trading floor environment, effectively interfacing with traders and salespersons in structuring transactions from a credit perspective; · Good technology and systems skills; · Highly motivated self starter; · Language skills useful but not essential.
