A top tier asset manager with over $120 Billion in assets under management is seeking to hire an experienced institutional equities trader into its Asian Trading team based in Sydney. With an investment philosophy that requires traders to exercise high discretion over timing and execution for the portfolio, this is a rare opportunity for an experienced trader to secure a regional focused role, with a highly respected global manager, in Sydney.

Reporting into the Head of International Portfolio Management and Head of International Trading, the trader will play a key role in leading the Asian trading team’s execution strategies. Whilst candidates with primarily Australian equities experience will be considered, the preference is for candidates who have regional experience in either the US, European or Asian equities markets.

The successful candidate will have a minimum 3-7 years experience in equities trading in either the buy side or the sell side. Experience in algorithmic/program trading is strongly preferred, as is exposure to direct market access and execution management systems gained in international markets.
