City based Investment / Fund Management seek a Front Office Systems Developer. (Microsoft VBA, Classic Access, ASP and SQL Server) the team provide systems and support for the Fixed Income Front Office functions. You must have strong analysis/investigation skills and be able to find creative sustainable solutions to system issues and user problems. Exp in issue/problem management - on both technical and user/process basis. Ability to work reliably without close supervision and used to working in a structured development environment with clearly defined procedures and controls. Good interpersonal skills are key; you must be able to work well with other members of the team. Communicate clearly and concisely and deal diplomatically with users. Exp of developing complex desktop applications using tools such as Excel / Access VBA macros, ASP, .Net and SQL Server. Must have strong numeric skills. Beneficial skills exp of relational database systems (Oracle RDBMS 9i, SQL Server), exp of developing .Net systems using C#, good knowledge of Fund Management preferably gained in a Fixed Income environment. You should be quick to respond to user issues and the general demands of the business area supported.
