On-site Loss Mitigation Consultant (Temporary Employee): Currently looking in the Dallas, TX, Jacksonville, FL, St. Louis, MO and Northern Ohio areas also.
The role of the On-site Loss Mitigation Consultant is to facilitate and supplement our Loan Servicing customers’ loss mitigation efforts on PMI insured loans. We facilitate the Loan servicer’s efforts by providing assistance wherever the need is greatest. The On-site Loss Mitigation Consultant acts as a dedicated resource to the Loan Servicer to assist with their PMI insured portfolio. Responsibilities include timely on-the-spot decisioning of workout referrals that are beyond any delegated authority that may be granted to the Loan Servicer. The On-site Loss Mitigation Consultant is also responsible for providing training for the Loan Servicer’s staff for performing effective borrower outreach and handling cases within PMI’s guidelines. The On-site Loss Mitigation Consultant also seeks opportunities to streamline processes and grant appropriate levels of delegated authority, thus facilitating the Loan Servicer’s efforts.
The On-site Loss Mitigation Consultant supplements the Loan Servicer’s efforts wherever the resources are needed most. If the primary need is in the borrower counseling outreach, we identify target segments of the PMI insured portfolio and will either engage outside service provider resources or the On-site Consultant may personally perform the borrower outreach and counseling. If the preliminary review of workout documentation is an area of backlog, the On-site Consultant will work through the backlog. If decisioning workout proposals or submitting the proposals for investor approval is an area of backlog, the On-site Loss Mitigation Consultant will perform in those areas as needed.
The On-site Loss Mitigation consultant’s allocation of time to each of the responsibilities will depend on the particular Loan Servicer’s needs and areas of opportunity. Our goal is to facilitate and supplement the Loan Servicer’s efforts to foster a win-win arrangement.
PMI’s On-site Loss Mitigation Consultants are “roll-up-the-sleeves” portfolio managers. The Consultants are Strategic Planners, Process Managers and Caseworkers. The Consultants perform a variety of functions including portfolio analytics, strategic targeting, individual case handling and special initiatives utilizing third-party service providers. PMI employs highly knowledgeable, take-charge individuals as On-site Loss Mitigation Consultants.
Contractually, PMI’s prefers for the PMI On-site Loss Mitigation Consultant to be a PMI temporary employee who works under the Loan Servicer’s direction according to the Loan Servicer’s policies and procedures. The PMI temporary employee’s caseload must be limited to supplemental activities on targeted PMI insured loans. The PMI temporary employee must not have primary responsibility for compliance with investor requirement such as required collection calls, ordering property inspections, foreclosure referrals, etc.
Requirements: Prefer management or high level experience with Loss Mitigation and 10 or more years of overall work experience. Process/project management skills are integral to this role.
