Main Roles & Responsibilities: - Assist in the production of the monthly management accounts for Europe liaising with the accounts team in Colchester - Review and provide commentary on the management accounts each month prior to publication - Complete annual Europe branch accounts for France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Sweden, Spain and Portugal - Manage compliance and corporation tax issues for the branches in Europe, working closely with PWC in each country - Ensure IPT compliance for all of Europe is in place and then pass on to the Colchester accounts team - Provide technical leadership on financial systems (cognos and sun) to the business to ensure data is processed accurately and improve the use of automated systems to produce regular reports Key Skills Required: The candidate should be a qualified or part-qualified, final year accountant with experience working in a multi-national insurance related business. They should have an advanced knowledge of financial systems and good IT skills. Knowledge of a European language would be an advantage.
