The JP Morgan Fund Accounting Team provides a range of services to institutional asset managers based around the Asian region. Reporting to the Fund Accounting Manager, the Fund Accounting Production Manager (PM) is primarily responsible for the management of all processes in place to deliver Financial Statements of Accounts, Net Asset Values (NAVs) and any related accounting reporting to the client. Management experience and a broad knowledge of fund accounting is required as the PM is an escalation point for questions & issues that may be detected by the Fund Accountants reporting directly to him/her. The PM is required to lead continuous service and operational development within the team and would therefore need to have or acquire project management experience. Responsibilities Management of the timely & accurate production of financial statements of accounts, NAVs and all related accounting reporting for a group of funds. Management of a team of 6/7 Fund Accountants and Senior Fund Accountants together with the appraisals, objective-setting, coaching & related responsibilities associated with staff management. Communication with internal & external JP Morgan departments to ensure the activities of all relevant JP Morgan teams around the world are coordinated to ensure client deliverables are met. Communication also with Senior Management in respect of production activities under the control of the PM. Performance monitoring and process analysis to seek opportunities for improvement in accuracy and efficiency. Ownership of the operational controls of the department ensuring procedures are properly maintained & adhered to. Client servicing in terms of query management and project participation. Essential skills / Experience • Fluency in English and preferably also Mandarin • University graduate with major in Finance/Accounting advantageous • 6+ years fund accounting experience, at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role • Thorough knowledge of security types and their accounting treatment • Knowledge of the processes of a fund’s Custodian Bank & Investment Manager • Analytical with good problem-solving skills • A tenacious approach to ensure adherence to approved procedures • Ability to communicate effectively to clients & internal management • Committed approach with abilities to both work as part of a team and on own initiative.
