Eaton Vance is looking for a Quantitative Credit Analyst
Basic Purpose:
To analyze US taxable fixed income securities. Analyst will perform fundamental credit research and develop quantitative models in order to make trade recommendations to the portfolio management team. Responsible for analyzing and evaluating the creditworthiness and relative value of corporate credit issues Incumbent will make recommendations and provide analyses on investments to the investment team by means of written evaluation and verbal presentation. The incumbent will be assigned responsibility by industry to focus his/her continual research and communications with peer group professionals.
Primary Responsibilities:
Independently conducts fixed-income research studies. Analyses may focus on individual securities, classes of securities or the development of quantitative decision-making models. Maintain surveillance of assigned credits through evaluation of periodic financial reporting, monitoring various news sources and communication with peer group professionals, external industry analysts, and corporate management.
Makes buy, sell, and hold recommendations.
Develop and implement quantitative credit risk tools to complement fundamental credit analysis.
Prepares written credit evaluations on corporate credits.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, and CFA designation preferred.
Minimum of 3 years relevant investment experience required.
Experienced analyst having delivered consistently strong performance. Superior understanding of securities analysis, valuation methods, qualitative, and quantitative techniques.
Experience with quantitative tools related to risk measurement, performance attribution and investment analysis.
Advanced PC computer skills as well as industry software. Knowledge of Axiom and VBA a plus.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential. Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team.
