A fundamental value oriented fund with a long term investment horizon is looking to add to its teams in both London and New York.
The fund specifically looks for candidates with excellent academic and career experience, ideally with investment expertise although this is not essential.
The fund's outstanding performance relies on rigorous proprietary investment research to identify serious dislocations between intrinsic and market value.
The research approach is to analyse companies on a bottom-up basis drawing on both analysis of financial statements and the views of all interested parties.
They run a concentrated investment portfolio and do not use hedging strategies. The fund is long biased but short positions are held when analysts have been able to identify serious discrepancies between market opinion and the intrinsic value of the business.
Investment opinions are generally expressed through equity positions however other securities are used when considered more suitable.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate academic and career relevance through the following criteria:
Top University degree classification
M&A training for a minimum of 1 year
Preferrably 1-3 yrs of investment experience at a value driven hedge fund or generalist PE house
Excellent verbal and numerical skills coupled with an inquisitive and sharp mind
