$6.5BB Private Equity Fund seeks bright, creative and analytical individual to join the Charlotte team. This is a rare opportunity to be involved with a ground breaking Wall-Street investment management firm with significant deal flow and capital.

The successful candidate must have strong analytical, modeling/valuation skills plus a strategic focus. Experience in Distressed Debt or Leveraged Finance strongly preferred!

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide support to Portfolio Managers and Executive Managing Director/Chief of Operations (spread financial information, write-ups, and various special projects).
  • Read and comprehend financial statements, legal documents and other corporate communications relating to existing portfolio companies and prospective new deals. 
  • Research industry information as it relates to companies in managed portfolios.  Use information to evaluate risks/concerns within specific industries.
  • Participate in portfolio company conference calls highlighting financial results and other relevant issues occurring within the company.  Prepare summary write-ups, analyses and recommendations as needed.
  • Participate in new deal evaluation team to determine investment potential.
  • Position is located in Charlotte NC.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree (MAC or MBA preferred) with a concentration in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Strong understanding of the fundamental principals of accounting and finance.
  • Ability to multi-task and grasp new concepts quickly.
  • Very proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Team-oriented individual with the ability to also work independently.
  • Strong communication, writing and presentation skills.
