Our client is one of the biggest banks in the UK based on market capitalisation. London is the Head Office and over the last 3-4 years the bank has doubled in size, especially wholesale banking which is growing at 30% per annum. Our client is currently looking for a qualified accountant to join Capital Markets/Equities/Principal Finance internal audit team. The role is Singapore-based.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage audit assignments to evaluate the effectiveness of the controls in operation in the banking business;
• Contribute to an increased awareness in the business of the management of risk and the importance of business controls and working practices;
• Contribute to the development of the internal audit methodology and working practices.
• Experience (whether internal or external) must be with wholesale banks NOT companies;
• Travel around the franchise must be expected: can be 50%;
• We are not looking for "job-hoppers": periods of several years in each job are essential

Criteria :  The ideal candidate should have the following experience:

• ACA/CPA Big 4 preferred with 2-4 years' post-qualification experience;
• Internal Audit or possibly relevant business experience in banking environment;
• Relevant Product Knowledge of Loan Syndications, Fixed Income Origination and capital markets trading products.
   

Remuneration:

Qualified accountant to join Capital Markets/Equities/Principal Finance internal audit team: around SGD110,000 base + plus discretionary bonus + benefits. .
