The Global Operations Group is responsible for the orderly execution and settlement of daily trading volume for BlackRock’s assets under management. Global Operations professionals serve as liaisons between custodian banks, the dealer community, and portfolio managers.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for advising professionals in the portfolio management areas on procedures for clearing and settling transactions involving a wide range of securities
Providing operations support to clients and the team
Reconcile cash on a daily basis
Advise the team on the available cash balances and any outstanding issues
Set up new accounts
Research and resolve discrepancies between the firm’s records and the custodian bank's records.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of fixed income securities.
Possesses excellent computer skills and communications skills.
Works well as part of a team. Enjoys a fast-paced, high-intensity environment. Able to multi-task and absorb information across broad spectrum of products.
Has an entrepreneurial spirit that is willing to take on additional responsibility quickly.
A college degree is required. Experience or an interest in Finance is a plus.
